Polished Oak Cleaners was founded by Alyssa Stanford, an Auburn University graduate with two degrees and a genuine heart for serving others. Her education helped shape her leadership and vision, but the greatest influence in her life came from her mother.
Alyssa’s mom spent her life in servant minded roles, including a season cleaning homes. No matter the job, she worked with passion, strong character, and joy. After her passing in 2022, Alyssa felt a deep pull to carry on that legacy in a meaningful way, not just in words but through action.
Starting Polished Oak Cleaners brought everything full circle. It became a way to honor her mother’s life and values while serving the Auburn and Opelika community she loves. Today, Polished Oak is a woman owned, family run business that is locally operated and focused on providing a more personal alternative to large national companies.
